Drift Games Bash 2025

The Drift Games Bash lived up to its reputation as one of the Irish drift community’s most anticipated events. The lads at Drift Games HQ contacted us just days before the event to give their S14 a much-needed brake upgrade. Watch the video below!

Drift Games S14The Drift Games S14 required special attention to ensure it could handle the demands of a weekend of drifting, especially with Dave Egan at the wheel. Brendan used our Maxflo AN03 braided PTFE hose and Maxflo fittings to upgrade the S14's brake lines. This was aimed at enhancing the car's braking reliability and making it more predictable under extreme braking conditions.

Brake Line UpgradeMaxflo braided hoses are designed to withstand the high pressures typical of competitive drifting. These hoses help maintain a firm and responsive brake feel which is critical when initiating at high speeds on the track. We also sell custom vice jaws and tools to make installation easy for your build.

Installation ToolsOur Maxflo PTFE braided hoses are constructed to minimize the risk of expansion and rupture, which can be a game-changer for brake feel, as the lines do not flex or expand as much as rubber. Brake fluid is also highly corrosive, but PTFE is chemically inert, meaning it won’t degrade or absorb moisture like rubber, ensuring consistent performance over time.

Drifting generates intense heat, especially around the brakes. PTFE brake lines can withstand significantly higher temperatures than traditional rubber or copper lines, reducing the risk of brake fade or failure. Complementing the new hoses, Maxflo's stainless steel fittings ensured a perfect seal and fit. These components are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the brake system. As a result, the S14 was not only more efficient and reliable but also significantly safer!

High Temperature ResistanceBy the time the Drift Games Bash arrived, the S14 was a mighty sight to behold and with its braking system now upgraded and more responsive, the car was primed for everything the bash could throw at it!

Drift Games BashThe S14 performed exceptionally, effortlessly handling the intense demands placed on its braking system throughout the weekend while the RB25 sent shockwaves through the grandstand. Not to be outdone, Josh also unveiled the now infamous “Skid Merc” drift from his recent road trip at the bash. A real sight to behold!

Skid MercWhat truly made the weekend special was the appearance of Irish motorsport icon James Deane, a 3-time Formula Drift Champion and his Ford Mustang RTR, who sent it in spectacular style and also hung around the paddocks to sign merch, shared tips and insights to all in the fans in attendance.

James DeaneAll weekend the S14 performed flawlessly. The upgrades to the braking system paid off, allowing Dave to relax and have some fun with the lucky folks who managed to get a ride along. Overall a truly memorable event for the books! We are definitely looking forward to the next event working with the Drift Games team!
